Bio
Christiana Cobb-Dozier is the proud school counselor for New LA Middle School! She has been a school counselor since 2020 and loves caring for all students as they navigate our ever-changing world. Originally from Northern California, she received her Bachelor's degree in journalism from San Jose State and worked for a non-profit focused on mentoring African American college students. She went on to receive her Masters in Education for school counseling from the University of Southern California. She considers her work as a school counselor a privilege to connect with all students and support them as they grow into the best versions of themselves. Her personal passions include hiking, skating, spending time with loved ones and writing. She is the author of the children's book Racing for the People, a story about standing for justice no matter your age! She believes our work as educators makes us advocates for justice as we equip the next generations with the skills necessary to create a better world.
