Bio
Miriam Gonzalez was born in Mexico and raised in Los Angeles. She is a proud immigrant and DACA recipient. She received her bachelors degree from UCLA and a masters degree from LMU. She has been teaching middle school for 8 years; five at New LA as the 6th Grade Humanities teacher. On her days off she enjoys spending time with her dogs (Bruin, Zuko, and Azula), hiking, and going on runs. Outside of teaching, she is an activist and supporter of immigrant rights.
