As part of our Health Education Programming, we will host Prevention Specialists from Freedom from Chemical Dependency (FCD) Educational Services on January 21-24. FCD will also present an important parent education evening on January 22 from 7-9.
FCD is a non-profit organization that provides alcohol, tobacco, and other drug education to schools and colleges world-wide. FCD Prevention Specialists present the most up-to-date information available on the physiological and psychological effects of various drugs, and provide a forum for discussing social, cultural, and personal issues that relate to the choices people make.
FCD believes in educating the whole school community, not just students. There will be sessions for teachers as well, and we will send home a letter detailing the program next week. In the meantime, please visit the FCD website at fcd.org for more information and parent resources.
